Healing Oracle

Barbara made her way towards the Living Room and paused when she saw that blonde haired woman that had been with Pietro the other day...Chloe had been her name right? She cleared her throat to announce her presence and smiled when Chloe looked up to see her, "Hey, um you're Chloe right?" She asked as she wheeled herself further into the room.

Chloe was reading a few books to pass the time and looked up to see Barbara approach her and smiled warmly at her, "That would be me....how are you Barbara?" She asked as she put the book down and regarded Barbara.

Barbara smiled at her and then glanced down, "Well yesterday while we were talking you never got around to revealing your power...if you had one...what is it?" She asked curiously.

Chloe bit her lip and then smiled at Barbara, "I'm a healer and I can heal myself.....I could heal you." She said quietly but honestly.

Barbara's eyes widened and she looked down at her legs with shock, "You would do that?" She asked softly.

Chloe nodded, "Of course." She said as her eyes studied Barbara.

Logan walked around into the living room to see Barbara and Chole talking.

"Am I interrupting something?" He asked, looking between the two women.

"Should I come back in here another time?" He asked, pointing over his shoulder with his thumb to the doorway.

Barbara shook her head, "You weren't interrupting anything Logan and you can stay....so could you heal me now?" She asked Chloe barely daring to hope that she might be able to walk once more.

Chloe nodded, "If you want." She said with a small smile as she looked at Barbara.

"What's this about healing?" He asked, looking between the two and walking over to Barbara. "You have healing powers, blondie?"

Barbara looked over at Logan and then nodded, "Chloe can heal other people...but um are there any side-effects or anything?" She asked curiously as she turned to look back at Chloe.

Chloe raised an eyebrow at Logan's tone but nodded in agreement with Barbara, "No there aren't any side-effects...and you're welcome to stay Logan." She said.

"Chloe, right, sorry." He said, having had forgotten her name.

"You sure you want me here? This is a big thing... to get healed." He said, wanting to know that Barbara actually wanted him there or not.

Barbara bit her lip before she nodded, "You can stay." She said quietly as she smiled at him and then at Chloe.

Chloe smiled at her, "Ok then, this won't take very long." She said and placed her hand over Barbara's allowing a pale warm golden glow to surround Barbara. It mainly focused on her spinal area and healed the damage that had been done so long ago, a few minutes more and the glow faded and died before Chloe sank back feeling dizzy.

Logan watched in amazement as Chloe's hand glowed. He watched Barbara's expression more though.

"How do you feel?" He asked, when the glowing died down.

Barbara bit her lip and stood up but stumbled not used to being able to walk after having been in a wheelchair for so long.

"Whoa, easy." Logan said, taking a hold of her arms to keep her steady.

"I think you need to practice." He said, smiling a little at her.

Barbara blushed a little bit and then looked down, "I think you're right." She admitted with a shy smile as she tried to take another step without having to completely rely on Logan.

Logan kept hovering beside her, in case she stumbled again.

"How's it feel?" He asked, watching her.

Barbara bit her lip before she replied, "Like I'm dreaming....This is...surreal." She said with a smile on her face and then she looked over at him, "Can you pinch me so that I know I'm not dreaming?" She asked quietly.

Logan raised an eyebrow at her before chuckling. "All right." He said, before giving her arm a pinch.

Barbara lightly slapped him, "Not that hard." She said with a laugh, she didn't really mind it though as it proved to her that she wasn't dreaming. She turned to look over at Chloe who was smiling at her tiredly, "Oh my...Chloe thank you so much!" She said and slowly made her way towards her, "You have given me so much......how do I repay you?" She asked.

Chloe smiled up at her, "Well...all I ask is that you get those legs of yours back in top shape...so you can get around easier." She said.

"Hey! You're the one that asked and you never said how hard." He stated, smiling some.

"She's right, you need to retrain your legs to hold your body wait again; I can see you shaking a little." He said, before putting a hand on her arm to help keep her steady.

He was right about that if he hadn't caught her in time she would have collapsed, "Looks like I have a lot to work on huh?" She asked with an embarrased laugh as she looked down. He must think I'm weak....heck the younger me would have been dancing circles around me she thought bitterly.

"Hey, at least you can stand and walk." He stated, smiling, knowing she had to feel better about being out of that chair.

"I'll help ya train if you want."

She bit her lip, "Only if you're ok with it." She said quietly as she smiled up at him, he was right though...it felt amazing to feel her legs again....she had almost forgotten what it felt like.
