Healing of the Harlequin

Harley gave her a strained smile. "Thank you. I know Joker makes people uncomfortable." She glanced down. "Maybe you could get me some clothes while I shower?" She looked up hopefully.

Chloe nodded, "Uh yeah, any preference as to what you want to wear or not?" She asked quietly as she looked at Harley.

Harley shook her head. "No just some underwear top and bottoms, should be fine." She looked around. "Were can I shower here?"

Chloe looked around and then found a set of showers that had come equipped with everything, Chloe took the razors that had been packaged, "I'll get those clothes for you Harley.' She said as she headed out of the Medical Lab.

Harley nodded. "Thank you." She climbed into the shower and began washing her body slowly. She rubbed the lather over her body scrubbing gently over her.

After getting Harley's new change of clothes she headed back into the Medical Lab and set the clothes outside the door that led to the shower before heading back to the divider.

Harley stuck her head out of her shower. She saw her clothes. She got out, and dried off. She pulled her underwear on. She pulled on the pants that Chloe brought her. She then pulled on her tank top. She stepped out looking around carefully. She slowly walked over to the bed and sat down. She looked down at her knees placing her hands over them.

Chloe looked up at Harley and smiled carefully, "Feel any better?" She asked quietly as she studied her with concern.

Harley looked up. "I... Don't know. I don't know what better is supposed to be or how it feels." She looked confused and lost.

Chloe bit her lip, 'Do you still feel dirty?" She asked quietly and with concern in her voice.

"Not ... as dirty as before I guess." Harley rubbed her arms still looking down.

Chloe winced in symapthy, "Is there anything I can get you? Food or water?" She asked quietly, wishing she knew more about how to take care of rape victims.

Harley nodded. "Food and water would be good. I got sick before I came here so it will be good if something is in my stomach just in case."

Chloe nodded, "Ok then, I'll be right back with your food and drink." She said and left the Medical Lab to enter the Dining Room to make a sandwich for her along with some juice. She had debated about making her coffee but decided against it as she knew that coffee would only make her more alert. Once it was done she put it all on a tray and headed back up to the Medical Lab, "Here you go Harley." She said as she entered the room and set the tray down by her bed.

"Thank you." Harley said as she took a slow sip of the juice and then began eating the sandwich.

Chloe nodded, "You're welcome." She said and sat back down , it was odd Harley was certainly not at all like the Joker and even though she had yelled earlier....it was certainly understandable given the circumstances.

Harley looked up at the woman helping her. She was staring at Harley looking confused. "What? Do I have something on my face?" Harley swiped at her face. "What are you staring at?"

Chloe shook her head, "Sorry, I didn't mean to stare....just kinda tired that's all....I kinda tend to space out a bit if I heal people." She admitted with a little laugh.

"You want a bite?" Harley asked offering her half eaten sandwich.

Chloe shook her head, "No thank you though." She said politely as she smiled at Harley.

Harley nodded and went back to eating. "Why were you in here?" she asked curously.

Chloe sighed, "I was on my way here to see if one of my friends was feeling any better from...some injuries he got in a fight. He was gone though when I got here and I saw you on one of the beds and I decided to heal you." She said honestly and quietly.

Harley cocked her head. "You know who I am. Why would you heal me?"

Chloe thought about it, "Honestly...everyone deserves to be saved...I don't think I could have lived with myself if I had let you not be healed." She said firmly.

Harley looked down smiling. "I remember what that was like. Before..."
