Horror in My Eyes

Pietro kissed her. He loved the feel of her in his arms. As she laid on his chest he felt her breathing and her heart beat and he felt his body relax to the rhythm of them.

She smiled into the kiss and then gently pulled back letting her lips stay inches from his own, "You are amazing." She whispered.

"So are you." He kissed the tip of her nose happily.

She smiled at his words as she lightly played with his hair, I'm the luckiest girl in the world she thought happily. She leaned over and kissed his cheek gently as she let her other hand slide down and cup his face.

Pietro grinned up at her as he continued holding her. She cupped his face and played with his hair. He closed his eyes. He could sleep like this and hold her forever.

She smiled down at him as he closed his eyes, she lightly kissed him on the lips and then trailed her mouth down his neck and then back up.

Pietro bit his lip as she trailed kisses down his neck and back up to his lip. He kissed her back lightly smiling. "I love you."

Chloe smiled even wider, "And I love you." She whispered as she kissed him again on the lips. Saying those three words made her heart soar again and to hear him say that to her made her heart pound even harder.

Pietro just smiled at Chloe. This was one of the best parts about being with Chloe. He could just lay here with her and not have to say a word.

Chloe smiled down at him one last time before she positioned herself so she was resting her head on his chest, right where she could hear his heart beat. She smiled at the sound, it was strong and sure....just like Pietro...it made her happy to know his heart was still beating....she hoped he never died.

Pietro pulled her up and rested his head against hers. His breathing slowed as he began falling asleep.

Chloe smiled at him and watched him fall asleep, moments later she fell asleep listening to his comforting breaths.

Vandal watched the two of them and glared at the man she was sleeping on..."Don't worry Miss Sullivan, I'm not done with you yet." He whispered and then using a pair of scissors clipped a strand of her hair. He smirked down at the two of them as he pocketed the strand, "Sweet dreams." He said darkly before he turned and left.

Pietro's eye's cracked open slightly as he scowled at the perverse bastard that clipped his Chloe's hair. He moved his hand up her back and into her hair. He wouldn't fight because he promised Chloe but he was glad he knew who the bastard was.

Chloe slowly woke up feeling Pietro was tense underneath her, "Pietro...is everything ok?" She asked sleepily as she turned her head up to look at him, she frowned when she saw his expression.

Pietro's eyes softened. "Everything's fine Chlo." He patted the back of her head. "Go back to sleep." He pulled her to him.

Chloe frowned, "Ok...if you're sure." She said tiredly before she rested her head back down and went back to sleep once more.

Pietro held her close. He would protect his Chloe.
