Fire in the Rain

Logan smiled softly at her, before giving her a hug. "Not at all."

Rogue felt the arms wrap around her. She bit her lip, moving her arms around Logan. She hadn't had a hug in a long while.

He rubbed her back softly, realizing this must have felt different for her with her skin exposed.

Rogue almost wanted to cry, but found that she might have seemed a little... odd for. It. She moved back, trying not to feel embarrassed about it all, "Sorry." She said said, feeling a bit foolish for asking for it.

"Hey," Logan said, causing her to look at him. "Don't be; you have no reason to be sorry." He stated.

Rogue felt her cheeks darken a bit redder. She felt a few drops on her face before looking up to the darkened sky. She hadn't even noticed the world change, "I didn't even know it could rain here." She said, clearly surprised that it was drizzling.

Logan looked up at the sky, squinting his eyes as the ran came down. "Yeah... who knew? But there has to be some way to keep these plants alive." He said, before taking off his coat.

"Here," He said, putting it over Rogue. "So you don't catch a cold. I'm sure you want to be around people more now then stuck in bed with a cold, huh?"

Rogue placed the coat over her head, the smells she got from it were almost... heartbreaking. Mostly she could smell Logan's alluringly musky scent, but subtly there was the smell of home. The Xavier Institute. She suddenly missed it, missed it all so much.

"I think they'd be fine without me." Rogue drawled out, grabbing Logan's hand before pulling him under a tree. Logan might have had a healing ability but she wasn't too sure how sickness, if the man could even get sick?, affected him.

"Please, do you realize how excited everyone is gonna be when we get home to find out you can touch people now? They'll be all over you like flies." He stated, before he was pulled under a tree.

He looked up at the tree. "Yeah, not the best place if this turns into a lightning storm, Rogue." He said, sort of jokingly at her.

Rogue stuck out her tongue, "I dun see any lightning nor do I hear any thunder, I think we'll be fine!" She stated, the rain just became heavier but no thunder or lightning ever came to her surprise.

Logan chuckled at her sticking her tongue out at him. "You want to make a run to the manor or stay under a tree?" He asked, smiling.

"Let see, stay mostly dry under a tree or run and get wet in the rain? Seriously, Logan?" Rogue said, laughing lightly. She had really missed the man.

Logan shook his head smiling. "Your choice then, kid." He said, leaning against the tree crossing his arms.

"I want ya ta meet Harvey." Rogue blurted out, almost covering her mouth in reponse. Harvey had to pass the... 'Logan' test before she'd ever fully become involved.

Logan raised an eyebrow at her. "All right, let's go meet him then." He stated, getting the feeling he knew where the relationship was headed.

As long as he treats her right, and doesn't bother the hell out of me, we're good. He thought.

"'Kay." Rogue grabbed Logan's arm before dragging him into the Manor. She wasn't one for subtly.

"Geez, now you don't mind the rain?" He asked, as they ran to the manor. When they got under the safety of the house, she handed him back his jacket.

"Thanks." He said, putting it back on.

"Don't get too comfortable now." Rogue said, shaking her head. He was the wetter out of the two of 'em. So, she gave him back his wet jacket, shaking her head.

"Now, let's go meet this lawyer friend of yours." He said, before letting Rogue lead the way.
