Ice Melting Around You

Chloe decided to head back to the Dining Room to make the lunch that she hadn't been able to make due to that guy interrupting her. She huffed out and made herself a Greek salad and after making the dressing with red wine viniger and olive oil she dug in. She ate more then she would normally due to the calories she had just burned and also grabbed some soda from the fridge that was ok but not something she would drink normally.

Anthony walked in after Chloe. "So why didn't you want to heal my brother?" He took a seat and looked at her intensly.

Chloe sighed and put her bowl down her appetite disappearing, "Look, your brother forced me to strip...right in here actually...and then he had me get my clothes wet. He was the first guy to see me naked!" She cried out and then looked away hating the fact that she was near tears now.

"Aaah that old trick... Would it make you feel better that you aren't the only one he has done that to? Mostly to people who bullied him, and in public." He asked tilting his head.

She shook her head, "After he had the gall to call me Baby Doll....because of my how smooth my skin was." She said darkly and shuddered in disgust. She got up to take her bowl back to rinse it and put it in the dish washer, she wondered why he had come in to bring this up anyway.

Anthony shrugged. "You should have taken that as a compliment." He leaned back on the chair, rocking on it slightly.

Chloe scoffed, "If it hadn't been for the fact that I was a virgin at the time....I might have." She said as she wiped her hands on a hand towel. She was suddenly reminded of the conversation between her Adam.....it had taken place in a similar atmosphere.

"I know I sound rude, but I followed you actually to thank you. You saved my brother, and for that I thank you." He kept rocking on the chair. "Though what you have been through with him musn't have been easy to do it."

Chloe raised her eyebrows as she was surprised at his sincere thanks, "You're right, it wasn't but for what its worth you're welcome." She said quietly slightly ashamed at her outburst and rubbed her face as her head ached.

He saw her rub her forehead. "Do you have a headache?" He asked looking at her conserned slightly.

She nodded and sank back a little bit against the counter as her head ached even more.

He got up and went to her, making her sit on the chair. He placed his hands on her temples and slowly started to rub them, working his way to the top of her head.

Chloe almost jerked as he led her to the chair and then bit her lip as he started to rub her forehead, she slowly relaxed as his fingertips touched the pressure points.

He smiled, starting to work his way to the back of her neck and to her shoulders. "Does thi help at all?" He asked softly.

She slowly met his gaze and then looked down again, "Um yeah it does." She said just as softly and then inclined her head to study him, "So where did you learn to be a mas sue?" She asked with interest.

"I massaged my moms head and shoulder sometimes. Dad left us and she worked hard to keep us fed and clothed. The least I could do." He started to rub her shoulders, using a bit more force than on her head and neck.

Chloe winced but not at the force, "I'm sorry." She said apologetically and felt like hitting herself for bringing up a sensitive topic. She looked back down again as she felt shame work its way through her, why did she always have to say the wrong thing to people? She wondered.

He shook his head. "Not your fault. You couldn't have known." He started to make circular movements on her shoulder blades. "So what was your childhood like?"

Chloe bit her lip, 'Well my father died when I was five, so it was my mom and I until I turned ten....she had this ability where she could control people. One day she ordered me to scrub my hands until I got some ink off....she came back a few hours later to find me with my hands raw and bleeding and me still scrubbing at them. She realized then that she was a danger to me and about a week later submitted herself into a Mental Insitution....I was sent to live with my uncle and his two daughters after that. Years later I found out where my mother was.....only to find out that her ability had caused her to become catatonic and she was unresponsive to anyone or anything." She said quietly and sadly, "You would think with my ability I would be able to save her....but every time I tried...it never worked." She said bitterly.

He squeesed her shoulder softly and comfortingly. "I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope you don't blame yourself for that."

Chloe sighed and met his eyes again, "Kinda hard not too...but I've been working on it." She said as she tried to act like it didn't really bother her. She cleared her throat and smiled at him, "So got any other powers besides mas sue abilities?" She asked with interest.

He smirked as he finished the massage. "I have a durable skin." He said going to sit on his seat, "I can take bullets, and even knife blows. You'd need a laser to cut through my skin. Luckily I haven't needed any sugeries."

Her eyebrows went up, "Wow, that would come in handy." She said in a impressed tone, "So...anything else I should watch out for?" She asked

He smirked. "Well I am a pretty efficient fighter, and I have anger issues. I got kicked out of school I was with Adam and sent into a special school for angry kids."

Chloe bit her lip and then nodded, "So I guess that means I can't take you joy riding anytime soon then?" She asked with a pretend pout as she released a little giggle.
