I'm still here

Dinah had been gone for few days. She was tired, not having much sleep or food. She walked to the park, taking a rest on one of the benches. She burried her face into her hands, trying to wipe away the tiredness. She looked at the scenery that opened before her, sighing.

Harley was walking through the park. She found that being out side relaxed her. She wasn't wearing any of her signature make-up but she kept her hair in it's pigtails. As she walked she saw a tired looking woman sitting down.


"Hiya." Harley greeted her with a smile.

She looked up, seeing a familiar woman. "Hi Harley." She said quietly. She recognised the woman even without the make up, having fought her so many times. "What are you doing here?"

Harley looked at the woman before recognizing her. She was Black Canary. "Just wandering around." She answered. she then sat down next to Canary. "What about you?" She asked.

She let her lips curl into a ghost of a smile. "The same I guess. How are things back at the house?"

Harley hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Ok I guess. Not much has happened the last few days. Some new people have shown up but I haven't met them." She shrugged slightly.

She nodded. "Then how are you? Heve you been a good girl?" She asked, trying to tap into her humorous side, wanting a distraction from her thoughts.

Harley turned away hiding her eyes with her bangs. "I suppose I have." Harley said lightly. "Compared to usual anyway." Her voice was forced as she spoke.

Dinah looked at the harlequin worried. "What happened? You don't sound your happy self." She touched Harleys shoulder comfortingly. "You can tell me, I promise to keep it to myself."

Harley sighed. She knew it was a better idea to talk about it now then to wait until it became too much and she killed her self.


"I was raped." Harley spoke softly as she continued looking away.

Dinahs eyes widened in shock and she hugged the poor woman. "Who did it?" She asked softly. "I will go there and kick their ass for you."

Harley gave a sudden sob at being held. Suddenly tears were in here eyes. "I don't know his name." Tears ran down her face as she held herself together. "Only his initials V.Z." She gave another sob at the memory. "He carved them into my collar bone."

Dinahs eyes widened in recognition. "I know who you are talking about dear. Don't worry he won't be hurting you or anyone else again. Ever." She rubbed harleys back comfortingly.

Harley began to sob not recognizing what Canary was saying. "How do you know?!" she said through her sobs. "How can you be so sure?!"

Her hands made some comforting circles on Harleys back. "Because I was the one who killed him. If no one has found him yet he is probably still in my room."

Harley gasped at the words. Without thinking she propelled herself onto Canary kissing her lips. Harley wrapped her arms around the woman pressing herself to the woman. Harley pulled back for a moment. "Thank you." She kissed the woman again moving her tongue into the other blonds mouth.

She was shocked to have recieved the kiss. Shocked, but kinda happy and amused at how carefree the other was in her thank you. "You're wlcome." Her eyes widened a bit more when she kissed her again, and with tongue. She pushed Harley away. "Harley, you do know I don't swing that way?" She said seriously.

Harley covered her mouth as she smiled for the first time in days. "Sorry I know." She giggled. "I show affection physically. It's one of the reason Joker likes to keep me around." Harley moved forward kissing Canary lightly on the lips before hugging her around the neck.

She smiled slightly, knowing Harley was indeed like that. She let her kiss her again and hugged her back. "You are really that happy that he is gone?" She asked in a small voice.

Harley nodded her head in Canary's shoulder. "I've been scared for days and now I don't have to be afraid. Joker was looking for him and now I don't have to have a murder on my hands. The fact that you killed him means it was self-defense not Joker looking for revenge."

She didn't really know how to answer that. It didn't matter to her that it had been self defense. "mhm..." She got up from the bench. "Sorry, I have to go. Be safe Harley." She smiled slightly before walking away slowly. She put her hands in her pockets. She really needed some sleep.
