Who Am I?.....

Harvey stared in to the mirror of his bathroom.....for so many years he had always looked into it seeing his scarred image.....and now he was normal again. He briefly wondered what Rogue would think of him if she saw him as he looked now...his hand briefly touched the skin on his face with a shaky hand.

Batman quietly left the room he shared with Talia. He was going to give the mansion a good sweep; he needed to know every detail of the place where they were being held in.

As he walked the hall, he took note of the names on the doors. So... Barbara was taken here as well... He thought as he passed by two rooms with names he did not recognize, but he would learn them soon, before he stopped in shock at seeing the name on the door before him....

Two-Face....

He narrowed his eyes and reached for the door handle. For a moment, he hesitated before grabbing the handle and turning it. The door silently opened to reveal a room that appeared to be empty.

Batman took a step into the room, noticing the bathroom light was on. He waited in the shadows before making another move.

Harvey stepped out of the bathroom rubbing his face still in shock and froze, he could feel someone else's presence in the room, "I don't know who you are but step out so I can see you...I don't want to hurt you unless I have no choice.' He said as he swept the room with his eyes, trying to pinpoint the source.

"...I believe I should be the one saying that..." Batman stated, a few moments before stepping out of the shadows.

"Tell me, Dent, is it true what I've been told?" He asked, staring at the healed face of his old friend.

Harvey breathed out as he stared at the masked figure of his old friend, "You tell me....what else seems different?" He asked eventually as he stared at him.

(OOC: Does he know it's Bruce?? >.>)

Batman stared at the man for a long moment. "How?" He asked, not in his usual gruff tone, but in a questioning one.

[Ooc yeah he does, funny story story Harvey was trained by Bruce to become a protector for Gotham and he did for a few years until he had a relapse]
Harvey sighed out, "It started with a woman, her name's Rogue and she's.....she helped me start to change. I know it sounds crazy but its true and then I was healed by Watchtower....even after what I did to her mother....she still healed me." He said in awe.

{OOC: Huh... so many different stories >.>}

"I'll have to meet this Rogue then..." He said, more to himself. "Watchtower isn't one to hold a grudge... She's too innocent to. That's why at times I worry about her being a superhero..."

He walked closer to him. "I know what you did to Nightwing... Harvey... if it's true that you've changed, you will need to talk to Nightwing eventually." He stated.

[Ooc YAY I'M INNOCENT!!! *cough* waiit XDD]
Harvey looked down, "I know, if he can ever look past the terrible things I did to him....then I would be amazed." He said and touseld his hair.

Batman placed a hand on his shoulder. "If you are back to the Harvey I knew... I'm sure he will, it will just take him time..."

A very long time... He added to himself quietly.

Harvey nodded still feeling ashamed, "It looks like I have my work cut out for me then." He muttered quietly as he met his eyes before bowing his head back down still ashamed.

"Harv, it wasn't your fault. You had no control." He said, knowing it was his other personality that caused him to go mad.

Harvey shook his head, "Be that as it may Bruce.....I felt what he felt....and I enjoyed it! What kind of person does that make me?" He demanded as he looked down angrily.

"That wasn't you. You enjoyed it because he was in control." He stated, turning Harvey towards him. "You aren't that man anymore. You are Harvey Dent."

Harvey nodded slowly and then frowned, "Why are you being so understanding Bruce? After everything I did to you....don't you hate me?" He asked greatly confused.

"I hated what became of you and what happened to you..." He said, trailing off. "I never hated you; I hated that I couldn't help you..."

Harvey was surprised at that revelation, "I don't know what to say.....I mean you trained me and I broke that trust...You were the brother I never had Bruce...and my darker half tried to ruin that bond." He said quietly and bitterly.

"I know... and as I said, that wasn't you. I know you, Harvey. I'm just glad to have my best friend back." Bruce said, smiling a little.

Harvey smiled back once Bruce did, "Its good to be back." He said honestly and pulled out the coin that had represented his darker half, "Looks like fate can go somewhere else." He said and threw the coin into the waste basket.

"Fate never worked that way anyways." Bruce stated, proud of Harvey. He took off his mask. "So, tell me more about this "Rogue"? How close are you with her?"

Harvey sighed, "Oh she's great Bruce , really down to earth and she looks at things with a clear mind in fact she may have messed up your superhero name a little bit." He said with a laugh as he remembered her "Ratman" mix up.

Bruce raised an eyebrow at him. "I think I get the idea of what she thought it was."

Harvey bit his lip and cleared his throat, 'Yes well, she has a heavy southern accent which is just amazing.....its too bad though...she can't touch people." He said quietly and sadly.

"She can't touch people? What do you mean?" He asked, not understanding.

Harvey sighed, "Her ability causes her to absorb the pysche and life force of the person she touches....and if the person has an ability their power. However if she touches you...well her touch is deadly." He said as he frowned.
